Dr. Makoto Ogihara began his career in transplantation in 2005, joining the transplant team at the St. Francis Medical Center in Honolulu in 2007. He has performed over 100 liver transplants, 87 kidney transplants, and 88 living kidney donor surgeries as primary surgeon. Dr. Ogihara also serves as Medical Director of the Legacy of Life Hawai‘i and is a UNOS (United Network for Organ Sharing) Regional Review Board Member. He is fluent in both English and Japanese.
